Top 5 green products
Independent reviews • Best prices • Fast and free delivery
We’re so excited about the Tour de France we’ve gone a little green around the gills. To honour the green-jerseyed speedy sprinters this year, we’ve searched the site for some great green-themed products. Here’s our top five green things for gleeful riding.
1. Slime Tyre Sealant - 8oz Bottle
Review
Slime Tyre Sealant may sound quite ghoulish, and does indeed look very much like Ectoplasm, but it’s absolutely brilliant for preventing and repairing punctures in tubed tyres. It’s non-toxic and effective for up to two years – simply squirt it in your inner tube and it quickly dries, ready for you to pump up your tyres and be off on your way again. Much more fun than patches and glue!

2. Charge Scoop Saddle
Review
The Charge Scoop saddle is from the same cutlery drawer as the Spoon and Ladle, and is every bit as popular and comfortable as its fellow utensils. It’s got the perfect amount of padding, light rails and an efficient but not wincing-inducing width. It’s available in a choice of colours, but obviously the green and black caught our eye today, much like a tempting packet of mint matchmakers.

3. Scott Stego MTB Cycling Helmet
Review
The Scott Stego MTB cycling helmet is greener than a Leprechaun on St Patrick’s Day after too many pints of Guinness, but is also available in a choice of more subdued shades. Trails, XC, downhill, enduro – this is one helmet to rule them all with a sturdy disposition, light weight and generous vents. There is specific protection for the most vulnerable area of your head, for peace of mind.
