I was toying with a smart bike but have an old bike dedicated for trainer use so it didn’t seem worth the additional cost. After deliberation I decided a KICKR trainer was the way to go. I had expected to go for a latest KICKR, but TREDZ had the new KICKR Move on offer so I took the plunge. Their purchase and delivery experience was good. After just a handful of rides I am very happy with the new trainer - a definite upgrade to what I had been riding. The flywheel spins down much more like a reel bike and both standard and ERG modes feel smooth and consistent. It is very quiet too and you only really hear the sound of your chainset when riding. From my perspective the movement functionality of the trainer is good and not distracting - a game changer for me in terms of indoor riding comfort and I like the lock out feature if you need it. I haven’t ridden with a rocker late so cannot compare. Easy of set up was great with little assembly and connection with apps such as Zwift seamless. The built in wi-fi connectivity is super stable and easy to connect with home network. Set up and settings are all controlled from the Wahoo app which I find to be easy to use with a good layout. I’m not sure if it’s standard but I got a one year subscription to Wahoo’s SYSTM package included too. Not sure how much I will use this but nice to have. Overall I’m pleased to date with my decision and purchase and would recommend the KICKR MOVE if you’re looking for a premium indoor training experience.
