The Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Step Through sets a new benchmark for premium e-bike performance and urban practicality. Its E5 aluminium frame has been expertly engineered with a fully integrated lockable downtube battery, neat internal cable routing, and a step-through design that makes hopping on and off effortless.
At the heart of the bike lies Specialized’s Turbo Full Power 2.2 motor, offering 90Nm of torque. This system delivers four times your pedalling input in a natural, meaning you’ll tackle steep hills and city streets alike with minimal effort. Backing you up is a 710Wh battery, capable of achieving ranges up to 62 miles in Eco mode.
The highlight for many will be the enviolo AUTOMATiQ Internal Gear Hub, a brilliant bit of tech that automatically shifts gears according to your cadence. It removes the need to think about changing gears, so you can focus entirely on enjoying the ride. Partnered with a Gates Carbon Belt Drive, the drivetrain is incredibly low-maintenance, smooth and virtually silent.
Comfort hasn’t been overlooked either. A RockShox Recon Silver RL fork with 80mm travel, a Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seatpost, and 650b Pathfinder Sport Reflect tyres ensure the Vado is plush and composed, even over rough urban surfaces. 4-piston Shimano hydraulic brakes bring assured stopping power when it’s needed most.
For extra peace of mind, Specialized has fitted a Garmin rear-facing radar system to detect approaching vehicles, alongside an anti-theft Turbo System Lock that disables the motor and activates an alarm via the Specialized app. Full commuter readiness comes courtesy of DRYTECH mudguards, an integrated lighting system, and a 27kg-capacity rear rack compatible with child seats and trailers.
Designed to be smooth, powerful and supremely intuitive, the Vado 5.0 IGH Step Through is your perfect partner for city commutes, leisurely rides or weekend escapes—delivering the very best in modern e-bike technology and ride quality.

* Mountain bikes are sized differently to road bikes. Typically, they are sized in inches as the first MTBs were produced in the USA. European brands like Lapierre and Haibike like to use centimeters for all their bikes. The measurements of their mountain bikes doesn’t match their road bikes but is like a simple conversion from the inches measurement. This is why we have included cm measurements in brackets for the e mountain bike column.
