Having now used the light at night, I can confirm that it's very effective. It didn't come with the x mount but fitted onto the existing handle bar mount perfectly. The included mounts are fine. Not sure on the rechargeable description. This was needed for an e bike, which powers it off its drive battery, so no battery in it to recharge. Just an observation. Remembers it's settings, very bright, good spread and very nice quality. If you are going to wire it yourself, I would suggest heat shrink tubing, for reliable install. Think about cable runs and don't have the power wire tight. Even though the supplied wire is long, it wasn't long enough, to get close to the motor, so don't cut anything until your sure. Overall a very good light, at a sensible price.
