Bike Pedals

Bike pedals are an essential upgrade for many bikes as the bicycle pedals supplied may not give you the personal performance that you need. Clipless road bike pedals should be the first upgrade for every dedicated road cyclist. Mountain bike pedals are also an essential component and mounting bikers can choose between MTB clipless pedals or SPD pedals and flat MTB pedals depending on your personal preference. Nukeproof pedals are great flat pedals.

Clipless bicycle pedals come in two flavours. Clipless road bike pedals like Shimano SPD-SL pedals attach to road bike shoes using a three-bolt cleat system. This type of pedal design ensures consistent power transfer throughout the entire pedal stroke, so you can ride faster for less effort. Clipless MTB pedals like Shimano pedals use a two-bolt SPD cleat system with double sided engagement, so are easier to clip in and out of.
