Not much has changed in the range since 2014 except the second tier Nine 1 gets a slightly lighter frame with TeXtreme technology. The combination of UHC Advanced carbon and TeXtreme carbon fibre on the Nine FRD (8.7kg total weight) and 1 (9.3kg total weight) models create an ultra light , stiff and strong frame which is ideal for XC racing and all-mountain riding. However, you don’t need to break the bank for a carbon frame. Felt’s Nine range is carbon all the way down to the 6 model. At just over £1,000 you get a high performance carbon machine; that’s incredible value.

The great thing about the Felt Nine range is how accessible it is for any rider of any ability. The lower end butted aluminium models are great first XC machines for those looking to take their first step in the sport. On the other hand the FRD, 1 and 2 are very much geared towards performance and winning races. Whatever your ability there is a Felt in this range for you.

UHC Advanced and TeXtreme
What? UHC Advanced is Felt’s high quality carbon frame manufacturing process. TeXtreme uses less resin to carbon ratios for a thinner frame. Only on Nine FRD and 1 models.
Why? Both these technologies combine to make a thinner and lighter frame by shaving off all excess material. The frame loses no strength or stability in the process.
