Features
Race optimized
The Felt Edict Nine is fully optimized for XC racing. All models come with 100mm travel (120mm for the FRD) courtesy of RockShox and Suntour. The frames (except aluminium 50 and 60 models) are all UHC Performance carbon which is extremely light and stiff for quick acceleration and great handling. The FRD and second tier 1 model get an extra lightness boost thanks to the addition of TeXtreme carbon fibre technology. This tech uses less resin in the manufacturing process so less material has to be used. FAST suspension creates a stiffer more responsive back end for improved race performance while keeping the position more aggressive.

Rider
XC racers
The Edict Nine series really is catered for purebred XC racers. With the top end model coming in at £7,499 it may be out of reach for those except pro’s, yet for its spec and performance it is still great value compared equivalent models out there. The best value is the Edict 5 which is still carbon framed with high quality Shimano Deore drivetrain for £2,200. For that you get a very capable XC machine that will your rivals in the dust.

Lightweight frame
What? UHC Performance carbon fibre. Felt’s high tech carbon manufacture process.
Why? These frames are very light, yet stiff where they need to be. The Edict 1 weighs just 10.6kg with the lower end Edict five coming in at 13kg. The FRD frame (UHC Ultimate & TeXtreme) comes in at a crazy 10kg.
FAST Suspension
What? Pivot free rear triangle which uses flex in the seat and chainstays.
Why? A lighter, stiffer and more reactive back end for improved race performance.
XC race wheels
What? 29er rims
Why? 29” wheels give the best rolling speed required for a race environment. They also do a lot to smooth out your ride for a more efficient run, and give you the best handling possible.
