Felt 7 series 2015
Quality entry-level MTB
Felt’s 7 series has always been popular with beginner mountain bikers looking for the thrill and excitement of off-roading riding. Light, fast and agile the 7 series has everything you need to build your skills and confidence. The entire range weighs less than 14.5kg, with the top end 7 thirty coming in at a feather light 12.1kg. The trend for 605b rims (27.5”) is continuing to dominate giving you the best of both worlds; the rolling speed of a 29er and acceleration of a 26”.

Features
MTB pedigree
Everything about the Felt 7 series has been designed to maximise off-road performance. Each aluminium frame is double butted to remove material in less stress areas while strengthening the places that need to be. This makes a lighter frame overall which is stiff enough to take the impact of mountain bike riding. 100mm travel front sus on all models smooth out rough terrain and lockout on all but the 7 Eighty also improves stiffness for easier climbing. The top end 7 Thirty takes the front end stiffness to the next level with a tapered steerer tube. Trust us, this makes a big difference.

Rider
Beginner and recreational MTB riders
The 7 series is ideal as a first MTB for tackling trails, singletrack or general riding on and off-road. For those on a budget the 7 Seventy comes with powerful disc brakes and lockout suspension for less than £500; that’s a real bargain. Riders with more experience should consider the top range 7 Thirty for the best stiffness to weight ratio (only 12.1kg) and a tapered steerer tube to blitz up the climbs.

Lightweight frames
What? Double butted 6061 aluminium frame
Why? Double butting is a process of removing excess material from low stress areas on the frame. It means you can create a lighter bike without losing stiffness for better agility on the trails.
Quality drivetrain
What? Shimano derailleurs and shifters
Why? Shimano are simply the market leaders in creating bike drivetrains. They’re light, durable and efficient. You get precise shifting and gearing for a more efficient ride.
650b wheels
What? The inbetweener 27.5” wheels that are taking MTB by storm.
Why? You get the best of both worlds. Combining the rolling speed and handling of a 29er with the acceleration of a 26”.
