The Best Reflective & Hi Vis Cycling Jackets

The Proviz Reflect 360+ cycling jacket is definitely one of the most impressive jackets we've seen thanks to a 100% reflective outer shell. 

Millions of tiny glass beads give the Reflect an almost ghostly appearance when lit up by car headlights. You can see for yourself above just how visible the jacket is. Less obvious are the black dots which create a sparkle effect in low light to further enhance visibility. 

The Proviz Reflect 360+ comes with a tailored fit, good ventilation through the underarm, shoulder and back vents. 

Also impressive is the 10,000mm waterproof rating and 10,000+gm/24hr breathability ratings making this a capable cycling jacket in most weather conditions. A superb commuter choice. 

The Altura Night Vision Evo cycling jacket offers daytime high visibility thanks to bright colour schemes (except the black version shown), as well as night time reflectivity. 

Ideal for commuters the Night Vision comes with a loose and casual fit, so you can easily slip your work clothes underneath. Good breathability from pit and yoke vents ensure you won't 'boil-in-a-bag' on route to work either. 

A great feature of this jacket is the integrated ILume rear LED. Whilst it looks quite understated on the picture above, when bent over in a riding position the light is at a driver's eye level. This unusual light source does attract attention. Lastly, useful hand pockets and thermo-suede inner collar improve comfort and warmth.

At the same price point as the Reflect and Night Vision Evo is the race performance orientated Altura Podium Night Vision jacket. Reflective elements on the forearms, shoulders and back help you pop-out from the background while the Hi Vis green colour enhances visibility in daylight and low lit streets. 

This versatile garment features Altura Shield Technology to provide protection from wind and rain, whilst letting you breathe - ideal for fitness sessions and racing. 

It's worth knowing the Altura Podium is a packable Hi Vis cycling jacket so you can simply stash the Podium in your jersey pocket and pull it out when needed. It doesn't offer the thermal capabilities you'll want in deep winter, but the windproof fabric and cuff extension does provide some warmth. 

For a mid-range cycling jacket, the Endura Luminite II offers everything you want for a city cruise or morning commute. Endura have really thought about reflective positioning by placing elements at key points - the shoulders, wrists, chest and lower back. 

You get a range of high visibility colour options and the obligatory black. You also get a wide choice of sizing from XS through to XXXL to appeal to all shapes. A casual fit lets you slip work clothes underneath. 

As with the Altura Night Vision Evo, the Endura Luminite features an integrated LED in the rear pocket. When you're not lit by headlights the LED helps pick you out in the dark. When you set it to flashing alongside your rear bike light the pulsing effect is quite visible. High waterproof and breathability ratings keep the elements out while ensuring you don't get too stuffy. 

For the racier minded commuter and city rider there is the Specialized RBX Elite cycling jacket. This thin jacket comes with hot welded seams and waterproof fabric to keep the elements out. 

High visibility contrast colours and reflective prints offer good visibility. A close, performance fit helps reduce drag when you're pedalling your hardest. There are no vents with this jacket, but the full-length zipper does offer optional air-flow if you need it. 

Handy Velcro cuff closures help to stop water seeping up your forearms. 

There's no denying that Hump cycling jackets look super stylish with quality contrast colours and thick reflective chevrons. The casual fit of the Hump Signal and design looks great off-the-bike too. 

Let's talk reflectivity. The Signal has some of the largest reflective graphics we've seen on a high visibility cycling jacket. The directional chevrons, stripes and forearm areas do help you pop-out on the road. 

Completely waterproof, with taped seams, you can wear the jacket year round while adjustable shock cords at the collar, hood and waist let you tune the fit to keep the elements out. If you do get stuffy you can use underarm vents for extra airflow. 

The little brother to the EVO, the Altura Night Vision comes with the same reflective performance and visibility, without the extra comfort features. 

Altura have built the Night Vision from waterproof (seam sealed), windproof and breathable fabric - ideal for all-weather riding. Pit and yoke vents, as well as a full length zipper let you optimise air flow for your needs. 

The casual fit is comfortable when riding in an upright position and looks just as good off the bike. If you're commuting to work you can fit smart clothing underneath. On the lower back you get an ILume rear LED light for added visibility in dark conditions. 

The Reflect 360 is the younger sibling of the 360+. It comes with the same reflective material, giving the most impressive effect we've seen but without the tailored fit of its big brother.
