Specialized Sirrus Comp Disc Flat bar 2015 - Road Bike

The Specialized Sirrus Comp Disc is a fast and versatile fitness hybrid with the stability and confidence of a flat bar.  You can zip through traffic on your way to work, cruise through country lanes and do a bit of fast paced fitness training.  It’s this versatility at such a great price that makes the Sirrus a great package for beginners and enthusiasts.

Frame & Fork

This model Sirrus comes with Specialized’s new E5 Premium Aluminium frame which is ideal for road riding as it is light, strong and stiff for all round cycling performance.  The geometry has been designed to be less aggressive and more comfortable - the flat bar pushes you up into an upright position for improved visibility on urban roads.

Internal cable routing keeps the frame looking clean, and smooth welds just provide that quality finishing touch you expect from a world leading manufacturer.

While the frame is aluminium, the fork is FACT carbon and comes with Zertz inserts.  The carbon design reduces weight whilst improving steering precision and Zertz help to minimise road buzz vibrating up the fork and handlebars into your hands - for a more comfortable ride.

Components

The Shimano Tiagra drivetrain is versatile and good quality allowing you to make the most of your hybrid machine. However, the biggest talking point is the Tektro Gemini hydraulic disc brakes which give you excellent stopping power in all weather and ground conditions.  That makes the Sirrus Comp a good Winter training machine too, and allows you to go more off-piste.

AXIS 1.0 rims ensure you roll smoothly and quickly on the roads, wrapped in Espoir Sport Reflect tyres which are durable for long-lasting performance.  700cx30c tyres are wider than you find on traditional road bikes allowing you more stability on rougher terrain, so you can get out of the city.
