Specialized Ruby Sport Womens 2015 - Road Bike

Fast and efficient, with a design that reduces fatigue in the saddle, the Specialized Ruby Sport is an endurance road bike that will make you want to ride further for longer. The women’s endurance frame geometry features a slightly more upright riding position which helps to reduce fatigue on long rides.

Frame and Fork

The FACT carbon frame is stiff where it needs to be - for efficient power transfer and confident handling - and the inclusion of Zertz inserts in the seatstays add compliance meaning that vibrations, from rough road surfaces, are absorbed as they travel up the frame. As well as making the ride more comfortable this helps to reduce fatigue meaning that you can perform at your best for longer.

The full carbon fork is stiff - offering precise handling - and also has Zertz inserts reducing vibrations that travel up through the bars.

Components

The Shimano 105 groupset - 11 speed for 2015 - offers slick precise gear shifting and is combined with an FSA Gossamer compact chainset to provide a wide range of gear options.

The contact points are all designed specifically for women. The handlebars are slightly narrower and feature a low drop for a better fit. The saddle is comfortable on long rides and the carbon seat post has Zertz insert which absorbs vibrations further reducing fatigue.

The Axis 2.0 wheels are light, durable and feature a semi aero profile which helps them to cut through the air efficiently. The 25c Espoir Elite tyres strike a good balance between speed, comfort and durability.

A great bike for sportives or long distance racing the Specialized Ruby Sport will also make short hacks that much more comfortable helping you to get the most out of your ride.
