Frame and Fork

Featuring Women’s endurance geometry the lightweight carbon fibre composite frame will make you feel comfortable in the saddle on long rides, without being too stretched out.

The secret to the Ruby’s comfortable ride are the Zertz vibration dampers inserted into the chainstays and the carbon fork (there is also one in the carbon seatpost for 2015). These viscoelastic inserts absorb vibrations from uneven road surfaces that travel through the frame. These vibrations are a major cause of fatigue and reducing them helps you to feel fresh in the saddle for longer.

Steering is precise and power transfer immediate thanks to the stiffness provided by the oversized bottom bracket area and tapered head tube of the carbon frame.

Components

SRAM Rival offers true 22 speed gearing. This is due to the yaw action of the front mech which allows you to use all 11 cogs on the cassette from both chainrings without any rubbing. Using the double tap shift mechanism the gear paddles can be moved independently from the brake levers so that you can set up the optimum position when riding on the drops and hoods.

The SRAM Rival 22 groupset includes hydraulic disc brakes which are powerful and reliable in all weather conditions meaning that you will be able to control your speed confidently even in the wet.

The contact points are all specifically designed for the female form. The handlebars feature a low drop and the saddle uses ergonomic women’s body geometry technology. Crank lengths are selected for each frame size so that you can be sure to have a good all round fit on the bike.
