Specialized Ruby Double Womens 2015 - Road Bike

Frame and fork

Designed to take on demanding road surfaces like the notorious Paris-Roubaix road race course the Ruby has specific comfort features built in. Both the carbon fibre frame and the full carbon fork feature zertz vibration dampers. These absorb vibrations that travel through the frame which helps to reduce fatigue meaning that you can perform at your best for longer.

The endurance frame geometry also helps to reduce fatigue by offering a slightly more upright riding position while still providing a reasonable tuck position.

The Fact carbon frame is lightweight and very stiff laterally - Zertz inserts don’t compromise efficiency - so the Ruby can still sprint and climb with the best of them.

Components

The contact points are specifically designed and selected for female riders. The saddle is ergonomically designed and the handle bars are narrower with a lower drop when compared to unisex bikes. Crank lengths vary across the size ranges to ensure the best fit.

New for 2015 Zertz inserts in the the carbon seatpost further increases comfort.

The Shimano Sora drivetrain features a compact crank and 2x9 speed gearing offers a wide range. Axis 1.0 brakes are efficient and the Axis 1.0 wheels are shod with Espoir Elite tyres that feature blackbelt puncture protection.
