Specialized Diverge A1 2015 - Road Bike

The Specialized Diverge A1 is an endurance road bike ready to take on the tarmac, as well as gravel paths and trails.  Disc brakes and endurance geometry all combine into a solid road bike eligible for purchase through Cycle to Work for even better value.

Frame & Fork

Specialized’s Diverge A1 is built around an A1 Premium Aluminium frame which is light, stiff and strong.  That allows you to accelerate out of the corners easily, fly up the climbs while handling well on the descents.

The fork is made from FACT carbon for improved steering precision and keeping the weight of the bike low.  It will also help to soak up road buzz from travelling up the fork and into your hands - keeping you feeling fresher for longer.  This is helped along with Zertz inserts (micro suspension) which really do improve your comfort as you ride.

Endurance geometry makes for easy climbing and descents at speed whilst putting you into a comfortable position for long-distance riding. The A1 is also mudguard and rack compatible making it an excellent commuter machine, as well as a Winter rider.

Components

A Shimano Claris drivetrain provides reliable and durable gearing and shifting through the 16 speeds, while Tektro Spyre mechanical disc brakes provide powerful stopping in all terrain and weather conditions - ideal for year round cycling, and cycling in rougher terrain.

AXIS Classic Disc rims are durable and will stay true for years to come.  The frame is built allowing for a tyre clearance up to 35c (32c with mudguards).  Equipping the Diverge A1 with wider tyres would increase traction for more rugged conditions.
