Using IMP technology, the ultra-lightweight HMX SL carbon MTB frame features a tapered headtube, and BB92 pressfit bottom bracket, increasing efficient power output. By using Evo-Lap Technology, Scott were able to make a frame that weighs only 849g (size medium). The frame has been optimised for 1x drivetrains, and with the 148x12 Boost rear spacing, allows for a shorter rear end, which makes for more nimble handling.

the Scale incorporates Scott’s Shock Damping System (SDS) to remove unwanted vibrations, keeping the ride comfortable. It maintains stiffness, to give uncompromising power transfer, and working with the updated geometry, makes a fast handling and nimble race bike. The custom chainguide keeps the chain in place, while not weighing much at all. The 27.5” wheels are quick to get up to speed and offer more nimble handling compared to bigger wheels.

The slick, gold Kashima coated Fox 32 SC Float Factory forks offer phenomenal bump absorption in a superbly lightweight package. The 100mm travel is the perfect balance between terrain management and steering precision. The damping options and lockout are controlled via the RideLoc switch on the handlebars for fast, on-the-fly adjustments.

SRAM’s Eagle XX1 is the pinnacle of drivetrain performance. The 1x12 speed setup offers a massive 500% range, making any mountain trail seem achievable. It is matched up with SRAM Level Ultimate disc brakes, delivering powerful braking with excellent modulation to take on the descents.
