Mavic Crossroc WTS 29" MTB Wheelset With Wheel-Tyre System

Fast rolling, lightweight and tubeless wheelset the 29" Mavic Crossroc WTS is great for fast charging 29ers. The first wheel tyre system that Mavic introduced for mountain bikes is best for cross country and light trail use.

Rim:

Getting up to speed quickly while maintaining their shape over rough terrain the rims are optimised for strength and weight. H-2 Hammer Hardening adds strength to the rim in the area where the spokes exert the most pressure. This improves the life expectancy of the wheel and prevents micro cracking. A firm plastic rim strip makes the rim tubeless compatible and has allowed Mavic to produce a true UST wheelset at a very competitive price.

Spokes:

The straight pull spokes, stronger than traditional j-bend ones, are bladed to improve aero performance and double butted to save weight.

Hubs:

High quality QRM cartridge bearings feature double seals and tight internal clearance for high efficiency and durability. The alloy hub body, incorporating aluminium axles and freehub body is lightweight, especially when compared with hub on other wheelsets in this price range. The TS-2 freewheel system offers quick engagement and reliable performance.

The Crossroc?s are compatible with Shimano 11 speed systems. SRAM XD (XX1, X01) can also be used with optional adaptors.

Tyres:

The 2.2" Roam?s are quick and perform well on a wide range of surfaces. low profile ramped centre knobs reduce rolling resistance while the more aggressive side knobs offer grip in the corners. A 60a rubber compound is fast rolling and offers good durability, which is enhanced by an extra Guard protection layer in the tyre carcass.
