Rim:

The Cosmic Carbone 40 T was developed and optimized using a wind tunnel.  The 40mm rim profile gives you that aero edge without being too deep to catch those annoying side winds.  The rim itself is fully carbon giving great stiffness for efficient energy transmission.

Tyre:

Yksion Griplink front and Powerlink rear tyres come with the Carbone 40.  The front tyre uses a softer, grippier (Griplink) compound for better cornering, while the rear uses a harder compound (Powerlink) for improved durability and rolling speed.  The pair give you the confidence through the corners and in poor weather.

Spokes:

Moving inward, Mavic have shaved off unnecessary weight through the 16 front and 20 rear spokes.  Made from steel they don't look the most stylish but they are incredibly durable and strong.  They've been given a bladed aero shape to help slice through the air.  The aero shape along with double butting keep lowers weight yet keeps the spokes strong.  

Hub:

Both front and rear hubs have a carbon fibre centre tube with durable aluminium flanges.  This reduces weight of the overall system and increases stiffness. QRM+ sealed cartridge bearings keep the wheels rolling smoothly and are very low maintenance.
