The feel of real steel. The Kona Explosif is a trail ready hardtail mountain bike that gives you the incredibly smooth ride that only high quality steel can offer.

Made from Reynolds 520 butted Cromoly tubes the smooth rolling frame features relaxed angles for a playful feel with confident performance on technical terrain. The slider drop outs allow you to adjust the chainstay length to fine tune the ride while the tapered head tube offers additional front end stiffness. 27.5” wheels give you the ideal balance between rapid rolling with nimble handling.

Up front the Fox 34 Float Performance fork delivers 120mm of refined suspension travel to smooth the trail ahead. Three position GRIP compression damping adjustment allows you to adapt the forks performance to the trail ahead.

The Shimano XT 1x11 speed drivetrain is combined with a Race Face Aeffect narrow/wide chainset to give you slick, secure shifting when riding over the rough as well as the smooth. Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes offer confident all-weather stopping control.
