Frame & Fork

Giant’s engineers produce some of the most advanced and refined composite frames on the market. The TCR Advanced Pro is built with Giant’s Advanced grade composite frame which is supremely light with pro level stiffness.

High performance grade raw carbon fibres are chosen for their high stiffness to weight ratio. Even the resin used includes vibration damping particles for a more comfortable ride on those long, hard training sessions.

The TCR is constructed from a modified monocoque. The front triangle one-piece is joined to the rear stays. This shaves extra grams because an outermost composite sheet isn’t needed. No ride quality, strength or stiffness is sacrificed.

All quality road race bikes need lateral and torsional stiffness up-front. The Pro 2 come with a full composite fork with OverDrive tapered steerer. When combined with Giant’s MegaDrive rectangular downtube and oversized toptube, front-end stiffness is greatly improved. This translates into knife-edge steering precision.

Components

Equipped is a Shimano 105 11 speed groupset with mid compact cranks and brakes. The cranks open up higher gear ratios for pedal stomping speed.

New for 2016 is a Variant composite seatpost to lower frame weight and also improve ride quality. The natural vibration damping qualities of carbon help keep you feeling fresher for longer. Easy adjustment is a big bonus.

Giant’s SL 1 alloy wheels are especially adept at climbing where the lightweight rims come into their own. Quality finishing touches like the SL alloy stem (with Ti bolts) and bars shed weight and improve value.

The Advanced Pro 2 comes with RideSense, a chainstay integrated wireless data transmitter. This removable transmitter sends wheel speed and cadence information directly to any ANT+ compatible computer.
