Giant Rapid 2 Mechanical Disc 2016 - Road Bike

The Giant Rapid 2 is the ultimate urban commuter bike. A comfortable and stretched out geometry is road bike inspired, but flat handlebars improve your control and visibility on the roads.

Frame & Fork

The Rapid 2 comes with an Aluxx SL grade aluminium frame which is lightweight and has a high performance strength to weight ratio.

Upfront you also get a carbon fibre composite bladed fork. Carbon composite helps to soak up vibrations from the road as you ride for a more comfortable experience.

Lugs for mudguards and racks add practicality to the frame. You can carry all your essential work and ride gear in waterproof panniers fixed to your rack. When the ground is wet protect yourself from spray and dirt by fixing mudguards.

Components

You get a Shimano Sora 9 speed drivetrain to play with, including a road style triple chainset. This gives you a very wide range of gears for a road bike, with plenty of lower gears to help you up the hills when fully laden down.

Tektro mechanical disc brakes provide consistently powerful stopping power in all weather conditions for confident riding.

Good quality Giant SR2 disc specific wheels are matched with puncture resistant tyres for hassle free riding. These tyres are 28mm wide offering a great a balance between speed and durability.
