The Cube Stereo 140 HPC SL (27.5) is a very capable full suspension mountain bike built for technical trail riding and doesn’t shy away from enduro trails. SL stands for Superlight, so you can also take on marathon XC rides too.

Frame

At the core of the Stereo 140 is a strong and very light Super HPC carbon composite frame. Advanced twin mould construction prevents any possibility of folds in occurring in the carbon fibres. At key areas on the frame the carbon fibre to resin proportion is altered to add strength where it is needed.

Agile Ride Geometry gives you more freedom to move around on the frame. It also lowers your centre of gravity. This is achieved with a compact frame design and low top tube.

An X12 rear thru-axle system and tapered head tube improve lateral stiffness at both ends of the Stereo. Internal gear and dropper post routing keeps the lines clean too.

Suspension

Upfront the Fox 32 Float CTD fork gives you 140mm plush suspension, ideally suited for trail conditions. 32 Float is a top quality lightweight fork with a FIT damper to improve performance on technical terrain. It comes with a Kashima coating which makes the shock feel plusher whilst improving durability. The settings perfectly match the rear shock.

At the rear you get a Fox Float CTD rear shock, also with Kashima coating. The shock has been custom tuned by Fox Racing Shox so it matches the bike’s suspension characteristics. Three compression damping settings, Climb, Trail and Descend allow you to set the suspension to match the section of trail you’re currently riding. The fork also features CTD.

Key to the Stereo’s suspension performance is the 4 bar linkage system called ETCK - Efficient Trail Control Kinematic. It remains fully active under braking and while pedalling. There is no pedal kickback or pedal induced bob. This creates a super efficient ride.

Components

Equipped is a Shimano XTR 2X11 speed groupset. This is simply the best performing MTB groupset there is. Included are XTR brakes with buckets of power and modulation with a superb feel.

High quality DT Swiss wheels are lightweight, tough and durable. The Rock Shox Reverb seatpost is also one of the best so you can enjoy the trail without having to stop and adjust your saddle.
