Brompton CHPT3 2020 - Folding Bike

The collaboration for the CHPT3 began when Will Butler-Adams met ex-pro cyclist David Millar at a dinner. Will insisted he borrowed a BROMPTON. Although David was initially sceptical, we designed a race ready BROMPTON and used the colours of the company David had just started – CHPT3. David was hooked when he received this BROMPTON, using it around Girona in Spain and even buzzed around TDF start/finishes whilst commentating. In 2016, feedback from David and those who saw the prototype at the TDF, gave BROMPTON and CHPT3 the confidence to bring the bike to market. With the aim to inspire David’s road cycling loving community to try a differenttype of bike when in the city.

CHPT3 started specifically for road cycling but has now moved on to be something considerably more, it has its own, unique personality now with loyal followers across the globe.

• New BROMPTON lightweight saddle with carbon reinforced base and titanium rails. Integrated with a Fire Red soft touch carry handle.

• This is the first BROMPTON to come with the new premium touch point set. The frame clamp, seat clamp and rear frame clip lever are all aluminium for a more premium feel.
• Decals across the bike and saddle are inspired by Girona’s architecture and medieval urbanism. CHPT3 wanted to underline the stairs and arches found in the old part of the city. Their lines and volumes guide the traveller through a labyrinth of narrow streets and unevenness.
