Boardman URB 8.9 - Nearly New - L 2023 - Hybrid Sports Bike
This Boardman URB 8.9 bike is in excellent condition. Having never been ridden, it is showing no signs of mechanical wear. However, it has some cosmetic imperfections on the seat stay.
To ensure this bike meets our high standards for quality, it has undergone a thorough inspection by our professional mechanics. As with all our bikes, it comes with a 12 month Tredz warranty, plus any additional manufacturer warranty which may apply.
The ultimate in low-maintenance urban cycling, the URB range combines simple, sleek aesthetics with everyday practicality. At the heart of the URB 8.9 is a light-weight 6061 aluminium frame and tapered carbon fork that helps absorbs those inevitable road imperfections. The frame's geometry also ensures that the rider's position is balanced to accommodate head-up visibility while maintaining that all-important pedalling efficiency, meaning no wasted effort.
A Gates Carbon Belt Drive turns an 8 Speed Shimano Nexus internal gear hub, which is an almost maintenance-free package. The belt drive requires no lubrication, so no grease marks on your legs or clothing and will not rust, ever! So can handle year-round riding with ease. Brakes are Shimano's excellent MT-201 hydraulic disc, which deliver dependable and easily controlled stopping power come rain or shine. 32mm Vittoria Randonneur Tech tyres offer a great blend of grip, durability and puncture protection whilst minimising maintenance issues further.
The URB's contact points have also been given careful commuting consideration, with the lock-on grips and saddle made from our durable Urban Canvas material to shrug off knocks and scrapes. Mounts for full mudguards and a pannier rack mount mean the URB can quickly adapt to wetter weathers and carry luggage.
