Being the entry level into the Boardman Time Trial bike range, you might not expect the ATT 9.0 to offer too much in terms of performance, but you couldn’t be more wrong. The 2019 ATT 9.0 uses a high modulus C10 Carbon frame, using the same downtube profile as the AIR and TTE to deliver outstanding aerodynamic efficiency, with Shimano’s dependable 105 groupset delivering precise shifting. With a highly adjustable Zipp cockpit and Vision’s Team Comp 35 clincher wheelset offering an aero advantage, this is an entry point to the range that is ready to race straight out of the box.

The first generation of ATT was fast! So fast that it won the World Ironman Championship, proving that it was built for pure speed. We've updated the ATT to make it even faster, with a new down tube using our proprietary truncated aerofoil tube profile, and our brand new T10 aero fork. We've also included bottle cage mounts on the top tube, allowing you to attached your preferred storage, making the ATT ready for long distance Triathlon too.

Boardman is famous for outstanding aerodynamic performance, but we don't stop there. All ATT models are constructed using Boardman’s high modulus C10 carbon engineering process and through close analysis of the interaction between bike and rider, we have carefully engineered a bike that offers highly efficient power transfer with class-leading levels of comfort. 

Boardman's C10 Carbon uses a mixture of Toray T1000 and T800 or equivalent fibres. These high modulus fibres have outstanding stiffness to weight ratios, meaning that we can use less material to produce the same level of stiffness compared to lower grade fibres. This, in turn, means we can shape tubes more dramatically to tune the performance of the frame to suit the type of riding it is designed for. In the ATT range, the use of C10 Carbon facilitates a highly aerodynamic down tube and seat tube, comfort-enhancing seat stays, and incredibly stiff chain stays for outstanding power transfer.

As with the front brake, we've hidden the rear brake under the bottom bracket to keep the airflow clean over the rear end of the bike. There's no sense in carefully crafting the frame's tube profiles to then put a drag-inducing brake on the seat stays where it is exposed to the air. With the rear brake underneath the bottom bracket, your watts are going into moving you forward faster, rather than dragging a brake through the air.

The PF30 bottom bracket comprises of bearings in a plastic housing pressed directly into the frame. This means that the bottom bracket shell can be wider compared to a threaded bottom bracket as the bearings sit inside the frame, not outside. We've taken full advantage of this additional width to provide a solid and stiff junction between the BB and the chain stays to ensure your power is going into the road as efficiently as possible.

Bike fitting is a complicated science, trying to find the best balance between comfort, power output and aerodynamics. With the 4 position seat post on the TTE platform, you have a huge range of adjustment to get the perfect fit. Being able to adjust from a 76°-79° seat tube angle also means the bikes can be used for UCI regulated time trials, as well as an extremely aerodynamic position for a non-draft triathlon.
