Specialized Roubaix SL4 Comp Disc 2016 - Road Bike

Carbon frame and fork

The Roubaix features a FACT 8r carbon frame with an endurance road geometry (slightly taller headtube and more relaxed frame angles) that is perfectly suited to long hard days in the saddle.

In addition to the natural vibration damping properties of carbon fibre the seatstays and fork feature ZERTZ vibration damping inserts. These viscoelastic dampers absorb vibrations from uneven road surfaces as they travel up through the frame. This reduces the amount of strain on your body so that you feel fresher in the saddle for longer.

The FACT carbon fork is disc brake specific and features a tapered head tube for a stiffer head tube junction. This increases steering precision for a more confident and responsive ride.

Shimano Ultegra

The Shimano Ultegra 11 speed groupset offers slick, precise shifting. This is an elite level groupset. Combined with the stiff and lightweight Praxis Works TURN Zyante compact chainset and BB30 bottom bracket your pedaling power is transferred to the road efficiently for powerful acceleration and quick climbing.

Hydraulic disc brakes

Shimano BR-785 hydraulic disc brakes offer powerful stopping power that works well in all weather conditions. With good modulation it is easy to apply just as much stopping power as you want to for confident speed control in wet and dry conditions alike.

The AXIS 4.0 wheels are lightweight reliable, and perfectly suited to long days in the saddle. 25mm tyres offer a little extra stability over thinner race tyres and include puncture protection.

Endurance riding features include shallow drop bars with gel pads under the bar tape as well as the CG-R FACT carbon seatpost with vertical compliance built in for an even more comfortable ride.
