Created by the World’s leading aluminium frame engineers the Defy 2 delivers true road performance to everyday road riders. The Defy is a winner of the 2016 Paris-Roubaix and Milan-San Remo One Day Classic races with Giant Alpecin rider John Degenkolb.

Frame & Fork

The Defy 2 is built around an Aluxx SL aluminium frame which is light, stiff and strong for all round road performance.

Endurance road geometry with a slightly more upright riding position (taller head tube and shorter top tube) than you find on a pure road bike reduces fatigue on long rides.

An oversized PowerCore bottom bracket improves lateral stiffness so more of your power goes straight through to the wheels.

Upfront you get a carbon bladed fork. Carbon composite is very light and stiff for improving steering precision - ideal on a sportive ride. Increasing front-end stiffness is the OverDrive tapered steerer.

Components

Equipped is a Shimano Tiagra 10 speed drivetrain with a wide range cassette and compact chainset giving you all the gears you need to tackle any climb. Small steps between each gear makes it to match your cadence.

The D-Fuse composite seat post has a ‘D’ profile giving you more compliance for a comfortable ride - ideal for the Paris-Roubaix cobbles.
