Genesis Volare 10 2015 - Road Bike

With the same race-winning geometry as the Team bike the Genesis Volare 10 offers high performance at an affordable price point. The chromoly construction offers a great balance of stiffness and comfort as well as the ever present ‘connected’ feel of steel.

Frame and Fork

The frame is the star of the show on the Volare. Made with the new ‘Mjölnir’ seamless, double butted chromoly tubes, the design team have increased the stiffness of the frame without increasing weight.

The feel of a steel frame is not to be underestimated. The compliance can only be matched by carbon fibre composites. This means that the Volare 10 is far more comfortable than other bikes at this price point.

A large 44mm headtube helps to keep the front end nice and stiff. The fork has carbon composite blades which help to absorb vibration at the front end. The ride is smooth with precise handling characteristics.

Components

The Fulcrum Racing Sport CX wheelset is great to see on a road bike built for UK conditions.  The upgraded hub seals that you get on the CX model means that these hoops will keep on rolling mile after mile no matter what the weather throws at you. The new-school 23mm wide rims also helps the Volare 10 to offer such a composed ride.

The Shimano Tiagra 2 x10 speed drivetrain is combined with an FSA Omega compact chainset. With reliable shifting and sensible gear ratios you will be able to make the most of your time on the road.
