GT Avalanche Elite 27.5" Mountain Bike 2017 - Hardtail MTB

Ride hard without busting your wallet. The GT Avalanche Elite is a hardtail mountain bike for discovering the joys of riding flowing singletrack and wide open fire roads.

The high-end 6061-T6 aluminium alloy frame has been redesigned for 2017 and features similar cross country frame geometry to the Zaskar for a stable and efficient riding position on XC trails. The triple triangle design adds rear end stiffness while the tapered head tube keeps the front-end tracking precisely. 27.5” wheels offer the ideal balance between rapid rolling and nimble handling over rough ground.

The SR Suntour XCR 32 RL fork offers 100mm of plush suspension travel to take the sting out of the trail. A remote lockout lever for the fork allows you to ride more efficiently on smooth climbs without having to take your hands off the bars.

The Shimano Deore 3x10 speed drivetrain offers reliable shifting over a wide gear range so you can take on all the climbs on your loop with confidence. When the trail points downhill the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give you confident all-weather stopping power.
