Cannondale Synapse 105 5 Disc 2015 - Road Bike

Frame & Fork

Cannondale have really thought about rider position with a taller head tube compared to their elite race geometry, gentler sloping top tube, slightly relaxed head angle and a longer wheelbase. This puts you into a more upright position but with a very lively and stable feel - this does not feel like the sluggish endurance road machines of other brands.

At it's core is an aluminium alloy 6061 frame, great for its lightweight, strength and stiffness - great for any on-road riding. The tubes are butted to save extra weight as well. SAVE micro-suspension in the rear triangle helps to absorb road shock (as does the carbon fork) for a more comfortable ride over longer distances.

Components

The Synapse 105 5 Disc...as the name would suggest, comes with disc brakes. These mechanical disc brakes give you greater stopping power in all weather conditions so are ideal when you leave the tarmac for rougher surfaces.

Shimano 105 derailleurs, shifters, brake levers and cogs are very high quality at this price point and provide crisp and reliable performance. No matter where you're riding, these components are up to the task. Maddux RD 3.0 rims keep rolling smoothly, mile after mile.
